President - Terry Stephenson - As President and Chief Executive Officer, Terry is responsible for all operations within the Wrapex Group of companies. Terry has more than 15 years of experience in the construction, oilfield service, oil sands, equipment rental, safety and environmental industries in Canada and the United States.
Terry began his career with KPMG LLP gaining experience in audit, due diligence, valuations and taxation, where he advanced to Manager with a heavy clientele of construction clients. Terry joined Flint Energy Services Ltd. as the Director of Finance, where he was responsible for M & A transaction structure, support and execution along with public company compliance, tax planning and treasury management. In 2005 Terry founded Blackjack Investments Ltd., a privately held investment company focused on investments in the Energy and Resources Sector.
Terry has been instrumental in overseeing the growth and value creation of each platform company. Leading various companies through start-up, turn-around and growth fazes.Terry has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Accountant.
General Manager, Insulation and Scaffolding - Rob Davis - Rob is responsible for the overall operation of the Projects Group, seven District Offices, and Blankets & Specialty Products. He oversees all estimating, project management, safety and QA/QC for the Insulation/Scaffolding Group. Rob’s involvement with the Wrapex Group since 2007 provides valuable insight and leadership to his group and the entire Wrapex team. His strong management skills are essential as the group continues to evolve.
Prior to accepting the General Manager role, Rob was the Business Development Manager for Wrapex since 2007 and was part of the Senior Executive Team providing the direction and future of the Wrapex group. His flexibility and problem solving skills were essential to the development of new relationships and continued support for our existing clients. Rob was heavily involved in all facets of the business. Past experience for Rob includes being the Head Coach of the Grant MacEwan Griffins College hockey team for their first three years in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. He was responsible for overall operation of the hockey team as well he was the Athletic Fundraising Coordinator for the Grant MacEwan Athletics program. Prior to joining Wrapex, Rob was the Sales Manager for the Ingersoll Rand Division at Thermo King Western. He was responsible for the sales and growth initiatives in this newly created division. During his tenure, he helped grow the Ingersoll Rand market share in Alberta in both new unit sales as well as creating a viable parts and service division.
Rob continues to coach minor sports and be involved in the community. Rob is also actively involved in various industry business associations including the Canadian Heavy Oil Association where he helps organize the yearly Edmonton golf tournament. Rob holds a degree from the University of Alberta.
General Manager Buildings – Paul Auton – As General Manager of the Buildings group, Paul is responsible for all of our manufacturing facilities and manages all aspects of the construction and installation of our Soft Covered, Self-Framing, and Pre-Engineered buildings. He oversees all estimating, project management, safety, and QA/QC for the buildings group. Paul’s strong leadership and communication skills, complements the already collaborative and experienced management team.
Prior to joining Wrapex, Paul worked for Waiward Steel Fabricators Ltd. In his role as Projects Director, not only was he was responsible for the company’s overall project execution, he assisted with the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the project management procedures in their ISO registered quality program. Paul was also responsible for coordinating and scheduling resources for engineering, material procurement, drafting, fabrication, and construction. During his time at Waiward Steel, he had overseen some of their largest and most successful projects. These projects would include but are not limited to Suncor Energy’s Firebag 2, Firebag 3, and Firebag 4 projects.
With Paul being a graduate of Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Architectural Technology program and with his over 15 years of related building construction experience, he has been a very strong addition to our management team.
Business Development Manager- Jeff Ewasko- As Business Development Manager of Wrapex, Jeff is responsible for promoting Wrapex externally and internally. Jeff’s duties include marketing, budgeting, setting sales targets, coordinating with operations, developing and preserving strong client relationships, and establishing and reviewing internal policies and procedures through communication. Prior to joining the Wrapex team, Jeff worked with Bantrel Constructors and Waiward Steel Fabricators in many roles ranging from Cost Control and Planner/Scheduler to Project Manager. Some major projects Jeff has managed include: Scotford Shell Upgrader Expansion (UE1), CNRL Coker Rebuild, 1
st phase of the Kearl Lake Modular Expansion, and the PSC Allan Potash Headframe Shutdown.
In Jeff's career leadership and teamwork have been the cornerstones to his success. After winning 2 National CIAU Hockey Titles at the University of Alberta (U of A), Jeff played 8 years of professional hockey in Canada, the United States, and parts of Europe. Simultaneously throughout his hockey career, Jeff taught physics, chemistry, biology, and physical education in North America and Europe helping him hone time management skills and the ability to multi task. To compliment his Physical Sciences and Education degrees from the U of A, Jeff completed his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, while playing professional hockey. He was named the Graduate Student of the year in 2007.
